Do you have comparative numbers of how much a artist usually gets paid (royalties?) for dvd sales or merch?
I’d think this model would be far far better for artists (when volume scales), and a comparison really brings that out.
Saw your movie and truely truely loved it. Being an Indian and also a Hindu, I found it very true to what I was told. Having said that I wanted to know when will you screen it in India? I saw your dates and apart from Ladhakh I didnt see too many dates in India. I urge you to please bring it to India in a big way because it is an Indian story and needs to be told in India.
Let me say this again it was one of the best cartoon I ve ever seen even compared to big productions and I promise to show this to as many people as possible since you made it legal to do so.
NP:
Loved the film!
Thanks for disclosing how much money the film is making.
As you know, that is information most speakers won’t talk about freely.
Chris
Nina, which DVD brings YOU the most money? Which store would you prefer we buy from?
And can you make available some extra-huge (3 4 or 5x) shirts – yes, bodybuilders love your stuff too?
Hi Aris,
I get 50% of profits from this $20 version:

100% from this expensive Limited Artist’s Edition:

and 25% of profits (after Amazon’s cut etc.) from FilmKaravan’s mass-distributed version:
