This Friday, December 18, 2 pm, Soy & Sake @ 47 7th Ave S (at Commerce St) in New York’s West Village. Open to anyone who is into Free Culture, Free Software, Free Speech, Intellectual Freedom, anti-censorship, etc.

I’m trying to build another Free Culture community in New York. Last week’s was a lot of fun. Hopefully we can do this every Friday.

I just downloaded and watched the movie, and it’s wonderful. I really loved it. There should be a place on your site to post comments about the film, but I couldn’t find one, so I’m posting this here. Thank you for posting this film, nad also for making it.

Am an artist and into freedom of expression. I’m a woman and am NOT into freedom of speech. Why not? Because under the guise of “freedom of speech” men produce and men & boyz consume pornography to such an extent that misogyny worldwide is growing by leaps and bounds. According to the WHO (world health organization) violence against women and girs is an EPIDEMIC.

Men’s idea of freedom of speech is child pornography and rape and snuff films. Did you know that in Germany it is ILLEGAL to deny the Holacaust? I think that’s great. Imagine if it were illegal to show pornographic rape scenes. What an improvement that would be.

Great site, btw! I have yet to see Sita, but I will asap!

ps – should have said freedom of expression with some limits…because I do think some limits make sense.
