Frogz

Having found suitable song snippets for all Ten Plagues, I am now animating them. This frog is adapted from one in Sita Sings the Blues, where it appeared in “Am I Blue.” In Seder-Masochism it stars in the Second Plague, “Frogs.” Above, a nice messy mass o’ frogs (on a beat of 13.5 frames – the song itself is 13.3 frames per beat, but close enough). Below: same frogs marching in a 27-frame lock-hop.

  1. i guess i like the lower example better, they look more agressive to me
(in despite of syncing with the music) they look like marching frogs.
while in the upper example the act common, “chaotic”. nonetheless i wouldn’t like to see that in front of my door. a couple of frogs, ok, endless frogs? argh! i never visualized this in this way and i can remember as a child i asked myself “what’s so evil about frogs?”. funny to watch.

  2. Use both! And, is it possible to overlay the two?
I think it might make an interesting progression.

  3. marvellous (english spelling!!)
I have never seen anything like this, and I LOVE the insects too, very much!!
