This pillar-o-cloud design is still in progress. I didn’t think I’d enjoy working with this sort of abstract imagery, but it turns out I do.

Saw this posted by Tony White.
Used to do similar stuff on 2D animation and loved animating abstract designs. The Thief and the Cobbler, a film by Richard Williams was based on Persian design and I had to animate clouds in that style. This was pre digital and all hand drawn. Might be worth taking a look for some ideas.
