Bronchiectasis Mascots

What’s a good shorthand for bronchiectasis sufferers? People with Crohn’s disease are sometimes called Crohnies. I suggest people with bronchiectasis should be referred to as Bronchies. That of course suggests images, so I drew two:

Until recently bronchiectasis was classified as a rare disease. The symbol of rare diseases is the zebra.

Bronchiesaurus — or Bronchiectasaurus, Bronchiectasuar, or Bronchiasaur — full color.

You’re welcome.

  1. So, do you self-identify as crohniebronchie? Or a person of bronchiecrohnie? The bronchie formerly known as crohnie…

Color makes them live more, especially with transparency. The zebra shows so much movement, yet the Bronchiesaurus is my favourite, with a Face-O-Matic style expression sucking a Neb-U-Matic. I always liked brontosaurus, because it was discovered in 1883, discarded in 1903, recarded in 1905, debunked in 1974, then rebunked in 2015. Of all the dinosaurs, to me it feels like Brontosaurus would be bothered by that the least.
