With all the excitement of getting food poisoning and then overhauling my blog, I forgot to mention the upcoming Art Auction for Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. It’s this Saturday, May 19th, 7pm at the Jivamukti Yoga School: 841 Broadway, 2nd floor, between 13th & 14th Streets, just south of Union Square. I’ve donated framed archival prints of these puppies:
“Pushpakh” 2007. Approx 10.5: x 13.5″, matted in 18″ x 22.5″ frame.
“Sita and Agni” 2007. Approx 10.5: x 13.5″, matted in 18″ x 22.5″ frame.
These are the very first “fine art” prints I’m officially releasing. Bidding starts at $150 and all proceeds go to help non-human animals. Barring a relapse I’ll be there, looking at art and self-righteously munching vegan hors d’oeuvres, so come and say hi.
NICE!
Hey, this is cool. The old system didn’t seem to work for me, so I ended up sending e-mails, which are so “formal”….
…and if I praise your work, everyone can see it, which is obviously much more rewarding.
Folks, Nina Paley is hugely talented in so many ways it doesn’t seem fair! From the days of Nina’s Adventures to Sita, she manages to make everything from angst to horror to death seem like… …fun!
cheers…
John the felix
Another great thing about the new system is commenters can link directly to their own web sites, as demonstrated above. Just click their names to check out the incredible work of Chris Battle and John Weldon.
More Hanuman!
my sister just forwarded me this site.
i love love love it, and am interested in buying prints, but couldn’t find an email address for you anywhere on the site!
could you email me back?
I agree with sireesha. I for one would buy a Hanuman print (or T-shirt perchance?).
madame my present state of penury prevents me from making an appropriate bid, but don’t worry I am saving up as much as possible. Love your work.
